A WORKINGTON mum is hoping that people will find it irresistible to vote for her daughter on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent show.
Wendy Park’s daughter, Gemma, 22, has been selected for the live shows on the popular talent series as part of the all-girl trio Irresistible.
The group already has a London agent through an earlier appearance on the show.
The girls were voted through to the finals by the TV judging panel of Amanda Holden, Piers Morgan and Simon Cowell.
Wendy, who runs The Laundry Studio on Clay Flatts, is distributing posters and fliers around Workington to urge people to vote for Gemma when the show’s final sessions are broadcast in the week starting May 26 .
Each night one act will be selected by viewers’ votes to go through to a final.
Irresistible are excited about getting through to the live show, said Wendy. “But I am nervous,” she added.
She said that television cameras had been in Newcastle, where the members of Irresistible live, filming their lives.
Gemma has been in Newcastle for six years. She left Workington to go to stage school in the North East.
