Woman savaged by dog

A WORKINGTON woman was savaged by a dog on Wednesday morning.

The incident took place near the town's Morrisons supermarket on Derwent Drive, where the large brown dog repeatedly bit the hand, arm and stomach of 44-year-old Linda Robson, of Goodman Road, Westfield.

She was taken to the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven for treatment and was released the same day.
