Art attack!

AN ART exhibition is being held next week to promote the work of two Workington schools.

Southfield Technology College, on Moorclose Road, is working with Workington Sixth Form Centre, on Needham Drive, to produce the exhibition called Pure Devotion.

Pupils from year seven to year 13 will take part, creating masterpieces which will be on display at Southfield school on Tuesday evening.

Sam Tinkler, who is organising the event, said: “The exhibition will be great for the pupils because it is their chance to shine and for people to see what they can do.

“The work varies from textiles to ceramics to graffiti.”

GCSE and A-level classes will showcase their portfolios which will be sent to governing bodies to be marked.

Doors will open at 6.30pm and entry is free. Guests will be met with a strawberries and wine reception.
