Safety cash for hospital

SAFETY at Sellafield meant money for Maryport last week.

Staff from the high level waste plant gave Maryport Hospital League of Friends £500 raised when workers reached a safety target of no accidents for six months.

Presenting the cheque to league of friends chairwoman, Chrissie Patterson, was Gary Southern from Sellafield.

The annual League of Friends garden party will be held next week, Wednesday 18, at the Glasson Rugby Club beginning at 2pm. It will be opened by matron, Carol Iversen.
