Motorway crash woman making ‘good progress’

A COCKERMOUTH pensioner in a four-car motorway pile up in which a man died, is still in intensive care three weeks after the incident.
Dianna Harrold, 65, of Simonscales Lane, a well-known dog exhibitor, is in a stable condition and making good progress.
She was driving her motor home from Wales where she had attended the Working and Pastoral Breeds Association of Wales show, with her dog Taz, when she smashed through the central barrier of the M6 on April 21 near Warrington.
The motor home was then in collision with three other cars on the southbound carriageway.
A 31-year-old man from Manchester was killed, and another man was injured in the crash, which closed the motorway for six hours.
Mrs Harrold suffered serious leg and chest injuries in the crash and was fighting for her life in intensive care at South Manchester hospital.
Taz, an eight-year-old Samoyed, shown as Marshmallow Ice at Roslune, was put down at the scene.
