ASPATRIA young farmer Anita Graham has won the British Charolais Cattle Society’s young breeders’ stock judging competition at the Royal Show.
Anita, 21, won the senior and overall competition at the prestigious event held at Stoneleigh, securing a trip to the National Charolais Show in Magny-Cours, France, in September.
She has been to every Royal Show in the last decade and has been placed in competitions almost every year.
Anita said: “I’m over the moon to eventually win the top award when there was so much competition.
“It was also an honour to return the award to Cumbria, and for the second consecutive year.”
The judges said she had offered the most comprehensive and fluent explanation for her judging decisions.
She recently took over the Lynedraw prefix with her fiance Robert Jackson. Together, they plan to establish a small pedigree herd.
