Wind turbines are weapons of mass extortion

ARE THERE no bounds to the arrogance, greed and stupidity of the wind farm vandals, for they now crave to desecrate the gateway to Blencathra and the Lake District with a mess of bird slaying wobbly wattage?
Wattage that has to be backed-up all the time by burning fossil fuel and the hard-earned money of every consumer. Wind turbines are but weapons of mass extortion.
The good news is that the sword of local common sense has culled the monsters on the Isle of Lewis while economic reality brought the dreams of the Thames Array to its knees when it decided to stop shelling out shareholders’ money on such dodgy technology.
We beg all those who cherish Lakeland and all the other unspoiled landscapes of Britain to join the tens of thousands of campaigners who are now winning the battle for a moratorium on wind.
