Jimmy first

HARRINGTON Sea Angling Club held their latest match on Saturday at South Heads, St Bees.

Twelve seniors and two juniors fished four hours of the flood tide catching two cod, two bass and five rockling.

First was Jimmy Singer-Wright, of Whitehaven, with one cod weighing 3lb 2¼oz which was also the heaviest fish.

Second was Mike Cooke, of Salterbeck, with a bass weighing 2lb 2oz and third was Brian Holiday, of Parton, with a bass weighing 1lb 7½oz. No juniors weighed in.

The club will hold its their monthly meeting in Harrington Legion on July 7 at 7.30pm.

Anyone interested in joining the club are welcome to come along.
